API Developer Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced API developer to join our team in Adelaide, South Australia. As a key member of our technical team, you will be responsible for designing, building and maintaining APIs that are secure, fast and resilient.

About the Role:

This mid-senior level position is full-time and offers the opportunity to work on challenging projects with a reputable client specialising in end-to-end telecommunications solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and build APIs that meet business requirements.
  • Maintain clear versioning, consistent error handling and strong observability.
  • Document APIs using OpenAPI.
  • Conduct regular code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
  • Participate in the entire software development lifecycle.
  • Troubleshoot and debug issues as they arise.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • 3+ years of experience working with PHP8+, Symfony, SQL and OpenAPI.
  • Experience with databases (Oracle, Postgres) would be advantageous.
  • Nginx experience would be advantageous.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or collaboratively.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Independent thinker.
  • Experience with version control systems such as GitHub.
  • Understanding of Linux-based operating systems (Redhat).
