About the Role

The Middle Leader – Curriculum supports the Leadership Team with the educational vision and mission of the school community. The role of the Middle Leader – Curriculum is to provide visionary leadership by leading the planning, development, and implementation of contemporary innovative practices that encourage excellence in the SCIENCE learning area to improve student learning outcomes and build student engagement, voice, and agency.

The Middle Leader – Curriculum works as a part of the College Middle Leadership team, supporting the school's commitment to providing a quality educational experience for students from Years 7 to 12.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the planning, development, and implementation of contemporary innovative practices in the SCIENCE learning area.
  • Provide visionary leadership to improve student learning outcomes and build student engagement, voice, and agency.
  • Work collaboratively with the College Middle Leadership team to support the school's educational vision and mission.
  • Be fully supportive of the ethos of Catholic Education and the school's commitment to providing a quality educational experience.
Requirements
  • Be registered or eligible to be registered with Queensland College of Teachers.
  • Have a strong understanding of contemporary innovative practices in science education.
  • Have excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Be able to work collaboratively as part of a team.
