Nursing Professional Opportunity

As a skilled Nursing professional, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment that values innovation, compassion, and excellence. You will provide high-quality patient care and contribute to the development of our nursing team.

The role involves working on a 21-bed ward that combines Subacute rehabilitation and acute general medical patients. The nursing team works closely with a full-time Geriatrician and specialised Allied Health Team, focusing on restoring physical and cognitive functioning or preventing further functional decline.

The ward provides care for patients with conditions affecting the gastrointestinal tract/system, such as inflammatory bowel disease, liver problems, malignancy and benign tumours of the gut.

Responsibilities include:

  • Implementing strategies to ensure quality and risk management are integrated into service provision
  • Maintaining current knowledge and skills to ensure continued professional growth
  • Working with and supporting colleagues within a highly effective skilled team environment
  • Demonstrating clinical skills and knowledge in the care of surgical patients

To be successful in your application, you will have:

  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience working in an acute hospital environment
  • Experience with Gastroenterology highly regarded
  • Proven clinical competency and the ability to maintain the highest standards of nursing care
  • Effective communication and clinical problem-solving skills to maximise patient care and outcomes
  • Knowledge and commitment to continuous improvement of health care and nursing practice
  • Demonstrates a collaborative and engaging approach to teamwork and the ability to work within the multi-disciplinary team
