Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled professional to lead our data platform engineering teams and drive project goals with high standards of quality. This position requires a deep understanding of relevant technologies (AWS, GCP), CDC patterns, tools, and processes in software development and systems engineering.

About the Role:

  • This is an excellent opportunity for a talented engineer to own and deliver org/company-wide multi-year, multi-team goals with technical expertise.
  • You will design and evaluate system architectures, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance using high-level programming skills in relevant languages.
  • The ideal candidate will unlock and enable Platform Enablement teams to scale for 10x growth while uplifting tech stack through transition states that drive business value.

Key Responsibilities:

  • You will influence the technical strategy of a group, often partnering closely with Heads of Engineering and/or senior product and engineering leadership to ensure the health of product development as a whole.
  • Collaboration with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to align technical solutions with business needs.
  • You will build deep cross-functional relationships, facilitate the right conversations, and settle disagreements by managing different viewpoints.
  • Lift team performance through goal clarity, feedback, removal of barriers, coaching, and establishing a psychologically safe inclusive team culture.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in software engineering with a focus on system architecture and design.
  • Champion a culture of experimentation, encouraging the team to test new ideas and technologies through prototypes and proof-of-concept projects.
  • Delivery Management / Planning and Execution - Expertise in planning, executing, and monitoring projects, often using Agile or other methodologies to ensure timely delivery.
  • Strong ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and advocate for the engineering team's needs.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration in working with product management, design, and other departments to ensure cohesive project alignment.
