Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Reliability and Projects Coordinator to join our Assets and Projects team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating projects, ensuring effective and efficient project execution, and implementing proactive maintenance strategies to improve KML's responsiveness to mechanical faults.

The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical trade background, with experience in project coordination, construction, and an understanding of mining operations. Additionally, they should possess excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

In this role, you will:

  • Manage and coordinate all short- and long-term capital projects
  • Propose and implement proactive maintenance strategies
  • Provide support to operational teams, including project logistics
  • Assess and investigate project deviations, and implement corrective actions
Key Responsibilities

As a Mechanical Reliability and Projects Coordinator, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating project delivery, optimization, and improvement of the mine processing plant and NPI
  • Implementing proactive maintenance strategies, including machinery upgrades, infrastructure optimization, and reliability testing
  • Providing support to operational teams, including project logistics and contractor management
  • Assessing and investigating project deviations, and implementing corrective actions
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A relevant trade qualification (Mechanical or Civil)
  • A WA C Class Drivers Licence
  • Demonstrated experience supervising/coordinating mining construction projects
  • In-depth technical knowledge with optimisation of fixed plant equipment and performance
  • Schedule 26 Appointed Persons certification
  • Experience using SAP
  • National Police clearance

  • An estimated annual salary of $120,000 - $150,000
  • A full-time 8 days on 6 days off roster
  • FIFO from Perth or DIDO from Geraldton
