About the Role
As a Senior Resource Geologist, you will be responsible for resource estimation and technical reporting of gold resources across our Mungari Operations. Key responsibilities include constructing 3D geological models of lithology, structure, and mineralisation, using appropriate resource estimation techniques, and reconciling updated resource block models against previous block models, grade control models, and historical production. You will also ensure the integrity of the geological database and master geological files on the network server, identify exploration targets, and contribute to developing drilling budgets that will upgrade the mineral resource. Additionally, you will prepare mineral resource technical reports and presentations for resource model estimations to communicate risks and opportunities to management, engineers, and other stakeholders, and liaise with Mining Engineers to develop optimum mining limits, mine designs, dilution, ore recoveries, and schedules. You will also develop standards, processes, and other tools compliant with 2012 JORC Code guidelines, and ensure systems, standards, and procedures for estimations are applied and drive resource estimation accuracy and quality.
About You
The Senior Resource Geologist role presents the opportunity for a tertiary qualified and motivated Geologist to join an operation that fosters and encourages development. To be successful in this role, you will have a Bachelor's degree or higher in Geology, with a minimum of 5 years of experience as a geologist in mining, preferably with underground, narrow vein gold experience. You will also have a minimum of 3 years of experience in resource estimation producing JORC compliant block models and documentation, good knowledge of geostatistics and block model validation, and highly computer literate with expertise in geological modelling software. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, highly developed problem identification and solution conceptualisation, and experience using Datamine, Leapfrog, and Snowden are also essential. Supervisor experience is desirable but not essential. You will demonstrate behaviours aligned with the Evolution Mining values and be a resident of the Kalgoorlie/Boulder area, or FIFO from Perth working an 8:6 (12-hour day) roster, Thursday to Thursday.
