Insurance Claims Advisor Job Opportunity
About the RoleWe are seeking a highly experienced Senior Claims Advisor to join our team. In this role, you will provide high-level expertise and review financial lines claims to advise clients on areas of coverage.
- Provide technical advice and support to clients, from preparing the first notification for submission to the insurer through to final settlement.
- Negotiate on behalf of clients and drive the settlement process.
- Manage complex claims in accordance with company processes and client service agreements.
You will serve as an advisor on a portfolio of mid-to-large complex clients, including top ASX 500 clients, to build trust, deliver service, and maintain effective working relationships.
Responsibilities- Handle specialist financial lines claims.
- Provide high-quality technical advice and support to clients and brokers.
- Conduct meetings and liaise with clients, insurers, claimants, and external providers.
- Prepare routine claims reports, including claims trends analysis and summaries for clients and brokers.
- Maintain fully documented system-based electronic files and implement a system-prompted diary follow-up procedure on each claim.
You will be expected to work collaboratively with our Advocacy team and identify opportunities for claims referral and issues resolution.
Requirements- 4+ years' insurance claims experience, preferably in financial lines.
- A Law Degree and experience in the legal environment and/or ANZIIF qualifications are advantageous.
- Ability to maintain and strengthen relationships with clients and insurers.
- Good negotiation and persuasion skills.
- Attention to detail and claims analysis skills.
