Job Title: Clinical Support Assistant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Clinical Support Assistant to join our team at Plena Healthcare. As an Allied Health Assistant, you will work under the direction of physiotherapists and occupational therapists to deliver a consistently high standard of clinical service to clients in Residential Aged Care settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in delivering physiotherapy services in accordance with Plena Healthcare operating procedures and policies.
  • Service RAC clients in accordance with the Allied Health Professionals treatment plan.
  • Transport residents to and from the therapy gym area or their appointments.
  • Set up and pack away the physiotherapy gym, including cleaning both the area and equipment.
  • Collect referrals and perform other administrative tasks as guided by the physiotherapists.
  • Order prescribed equipment.
  • Run exercise groups or programs.
  • Support initiatives to meet client or contract expectations.
  • Consult with physiotherapists or occupational therapists regarding adaptations, changes, or progressions of treatment plans for clients as appropriate.
  • Participate in mentoring, supervision, and appraisals in line with Plena Healthcare's policy and procedure.

Requirements:

  • Minimum Cert III Allied Health Assistant or equivalent.
  • Australian working rights.
  • Willing to obtain NDIS workers screening and National Police Check.
  • Healthcare knowledge.
  • Ability to independently deliver treatment plans.
  • Time management and accountability.
  • Clinical knowledge.
  • Communication skills.
  • Driver's license and reliable car.
