Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cloud Engineer to join our team in Infosys Singapore & Australia. As a key member of our cloud infrastructure team, you will design and implement scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud solutions using AWS and Azure services.

This is a fixed-term contract/Permanent position with a duration of 12 months, with possible extensions. The role offers excellent opportunities for professional growth and development in a dynamic and innovative environment.

About the Role
  • Develop and maintain data storage: Design and build data storage systems using Azure SQL Database and other relevant technologies.
  • Automated data pipelines and ETL processes: Implement efficient data pipelines and ETL processes to ensure seamless data flow across multiple sources.
  • Data security and compliance: Ensure data security, privacy, and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Performance optimization: Monitor and optimize data storage systems to ensure performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Advisory services: Provide advisory services on data modelling, management, engineering, and cloud infrastructure to support junior team members and cross-functional teams.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Hands-on experience with designing, building, and maintaining data storage: Proven track record of designing and implementing scalable and secure data storage systems.
  • Experience with Snowflake: Hands-on experience with Snowflake and its applications in data warehousing and business intelligence.
  • Advanced technical proficiency required in AWS Services: Advanced knowledge of AWS services, including DynamoDB, Glue, IAM, Lambda, ECS, Step Functions, Batch, and S3 Bucket.
  • Experience with Azure Services: Proficiency in Azure services, including SQL Database, Cosmos DB, Data Factory, Logic Apps, Functions, and Blob Storage.
  • Database development and data engineering: Experience in database development, data engineering (ETL in Cloud), and handling JSON and CSV files.
  • Understanding of information/data management: Strong understanding of information/data management principles, including data structures, data storage, and data modelling techniques.
  • Programming languages and scripting skills: Advanced proficiency in Python, Object-Oriented Design, PowerShell, Bash Scripting, and SQL.
  • Extensive experience in Terraform: Experience in using Terraform for infrastructure as code (IaC) and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • CI/CD pipelines: Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and their applications in cloud computing.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Containers and cloud-based deployments: Experience with containers like Docker and cloud-based deployments.
  • Observability tools: Knowledge of observability tools like New Relic and their applications in monitoring and troubleshooting cloud applications.
  • Azure Key Vault and Active Directory: Familiarity with Azure Key Vault and Active Directory services.
  • Hadoop and Spark: Understanding of Hadoop and Spark technologies and their applications in big data processing.
