Job Overview

Procurement Manager: As a key member of our high-performing team, you will lead the procurement function and ensure all policies, procedures, and strategies are aligned to business requirements.

This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of sourcing and negotiation of suppliers to drive efficiency across the business. You will be responsible for leading, mentoring, and managing the procurement team, as well as developing and maintaining positive working relationships with stakeholders.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and mentor the procurement team
  • Perform all procurement activities, including pre-qualification, negotiation of supplier agreements, and preparation of contracts
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with stakeholders
  • Negotiate supply and service agreements for the business
  • Forecast purchasing requirements
  • Seek methods and/or systems to ensure continuous improvement in the procurement space

Key Skills and Qualifications

Required skills and qualifications include:

  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence key decision makers
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of materials management systems
  • Knowledge of industry-specific requirements
  • A willingness to get hands-on in the office or warehouse to assist with ad hoc tasks
  • Initiative, self-motivation, and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Pronto experience (software)
  • Forklift license
