Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Indirect Tax Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will assist in managing our indirect tax obligations across the globe, ensuring compliance with local tax regulations in multiple jurisdictions.

Your primary responsibility will be to manage the global indirect tax compliance calendar, ensuring timely and accurate filing and payment of returns in various jurisdictions. This includes preparing and reviewing indirect tax returns with the support of the Tax Manager and external tax advisors.

You will also be responsible for maintaining monthly indirect tax reconciliations during the month-end process and supporting research into the indirect tax treatment of global transactions, value chain, and new business initiatives.

Simplify our indirect compliance obligations by managing GST/VAT grouping projects and de-registering entities for GST/VAT where required. Help maintain indirect tax governance and improve compliance controls.

Assist the Tax Manager with global direct tax compliance and other tax advisory projects outside of indirect tax.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • 3-5+ years of experience in indirect tax, either in a large corporate setting or an accounting firm.
  • Fundamental knowledge of key indirect taxes, such as VAT and GST.
  • Keen interest and experience in process improvement.
  • Experience with ERP systems (in particular, NetSuite).
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills, with a keen eye for detail.
