About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Engineer to join our in-house Design & Engineering Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the development of high-quality designs for primary high-voltage (HV) systems.

With a strong background in Electrical Engineering and experience in the renewable or utilities industry, you will collaborate with other Engineers and Designers to develop designs associated with HV systems. Your expertise in substation design and/or utility grid connections will be invaluable in this role.

You will work closely with our specialists in secondary, civil, structural, transmission lines, and site services engineering to deliver excellence in primary engineering. Your experience with HV systems will enable you to play a significant role in the success of our flagship projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop high-quality designs for primary HV systems
  • Collaborate with Engineers and Designers to develop designs associated with HV systems
  • Oversee the development of designs for substation design and/or utility grid connections
  • Work closely with specialists in secondary, civil, structural, transmission lines, and site services engineering
  • Contribute to the success of our flagship projects
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, or equivalent
  • Demonstrated experience performing in a similar role in the renewable or utilities industry
  • Expertise in substation design and/or utility grid connections
  • Strong knowledge of Australian industry standards
  • High-level communication and stakeholder management skills
