At Krueger Transport Equipment, a leading semi-trailer manufacturer, we pride ourselves on our hands-on approach and customer-centric service. We're seeking a skilled Heavy Vehicle Technician to join our team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing repairs and maintenance as per repair order instructions within our service department. They will promote customer satisfaction to the required dealer standards and oversee the work of any apprentice technician assigned to them.

  • Perform work as per repair order instructions.
  • Advise the workshop foreman of any additional work required.
  • Document all work performed, including cause, correction, and recommended work not carried out during service and repair.
  • Ensure customer vehicles are left in the same condition as received, including cleanliness, seat, radio, Bluetooth, and mirror adjustments.
  • Supervise apprentice technicians as assigned.
  • Accurately and safely operate all tools and equipment, reporting any safety, equipment defects, or malfunctions to management immediately.
  • Communicate with the parts department to obtain necessary parts.
  • Attend dealership and service department meetings and online training as requested.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workshop area, accounting for all dealership-owned tools.

The successful candidate will possess a professional approach, the ability to work under pressure, organisational and time management skills, excellent attention to detail, a confident manner, and a positive approach to change.

We seek individuals with the following qualifications:

  • Trade Certificate.
  • Valid driver's licenses for car, light-duty, truck, and agricultural vehicles.
  • Technical knowledge as per qualification specifications.
  • Customer service focus, committed to providing exceptional customer service across all channels.
  • Effective communication skills, adapting to varying communication styles depending on the audience.
  • Attention to detail, with excellent written skills when communicating with others.
  • Teamwork, willingness to assist and support others as required.
  • Time management and organisation, accomplishing objectives within given timeframes and carrying out administrative duties efficiently.
