Role Overview:

As the Inventory Operations Supervisor at Sephora, you will serve as the Inventory Controller, playing a crucial role in ensuring that accurate and adequate stock levels are maintained to meet customer demand. Additionally, you will oversee the proper storage of all products and marketing materials.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting scheduled inventory counts to make informed decisions regarding stock adjustments to prevent out-of-stock situations.
  • Analyzing and interpreting data and reports to support operational tasks aimed at minimizing shrinkage loss.
  • Continuously monitoring and investigating discrepancies in stock levels and collaborating with the store team as needed.
  • Fostering a culture of continuous improvement through coaching and collaboration with the Senior Management team, Supply Chain, and Planning team to achieve business and operational objectives.
  • Acting as the primary contact for the distribution and organization of stock levels to facilitate confident stock decisions as needed.
  • Educating and training the broader team on shrinkage and back-of-house policies and procedures.
  • Managing the processing and replenishment of incoming stock, ensuring timely returns, and coordinating with external partners for stock pick-up.
  • Retrieving necessary stock from the sales floor and coordinating with external partners for return pick-up.

This position is ideal for a proactive individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is essential to the operational efficiency of the business.

Reporting Structure:

Reports to Store Manager, Assistant Store Manager, and District Inventory Operations Lead.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Willingness to work a 38hr rotating roster to meet store requirements.
  • Previous experience in retail stock management, including cycle counts, product launches, visual merchandising, team management, and profit & loss oversight.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including SharePoint & SAP (desirable) for data interpretation and daily reporting.
  • Adequate physical fitness to handle lifting and moving boxes weighing up to 15kg.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and KPIs.
  • Passionate about delivering exceptional client service and experiential retail by monitoring stock levels to ensure alignment with the Sephora brand.

Please note that each of our stores has unique needs. Only Australian Citizens or Permanent Residents will be considered for this opportunity.

As our peak trading days are typically from Thursday to Sunday, the ideal candidate should be available for five full days during key trading hours, including late-night, weekend, and public holiday shifts.
