About the Job
  • Design and implement comprehensive strategies for environmental resilience and sustainability.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to provide efficient and customer-focused services that support community resource behavior and ecological development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with senior management to develop and review environment and resilience action plans.
  • Implement and update strategies and policies under guidance from senior management.
  • Develop and execute community engagement and education programs in collaboration with relevant teams.
  • Manage and supervise specific projects related to environmental resilience.
  • Collaborate with key departments to embed resilience into council planning and policy.
  • Prepare grant submissions and administer grants for sustainability and resilience projects.
  • Monitor progress and report on outcomes related to environment and resilience strategy and resource efficiency.

We are seeking an individual with:

  • Tertiary qualifications in environmental management or a related field, with experience in delivering similar initiatives.
  • Demonstrated expertise in strategy development and policy implementation.
  • Proven work experience in climate change mitigation and adaptation, resource efficiency, renewable energy, and resilience planning.
  • Experience in community education and event delivery within related outcome areas.
  • Strong community engagement and behavior change skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of risk management practices, leadership, and financial management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and technical advisory skills.
  • Grant application and reporting experience in sustainability and resilience projects.
