Spanish Teacher

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Spanish LOTE teacher to join our dynamic team at a leading International Baccalaureate school in Melbourne's West. As a full-time, ongoing teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and interactive Spanish language instruction to students in Years 7-9, while contributing to the school's focus on providing a high-quality, student-centred education.

• Develop and implement curriculum plans that align with the Victorian Curriculum for Spanish LOTE, Secondary levels.
• Deliver effective and interactive Spanish language instruction, focusing on vocabulary, pronunciation, and language structures.
• Integrate aspects of Spanish culture into lessons through age-appropriate activities, stories, and projects to foster cultural awareness.
• Design assessments to evaluate student language acquisition and provide constructive feedback.
• Collaborate with other teachers and departments to integrate Spanish LOTE language and culture into broader educational themes and projects.
• Stay informed about developments in language education and engage in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching skills and methodologies.

• Must hold unrestricted working rights in Australia.
• Current VIT registration is essential.
• Proven experience teaching secondary Spanish LOTE in Australia within a Secondary school setting.
• Ability to provide two education-based references from the last 5 years.
