Operations Director for Australia

The Operations Director for Australia will oversee daily activities across functions such as Warehousing, Customer Care and Transportation. This role will be based in Brisbane with local responsibilities and direct contact with the global Supply Chain management team.

As a responsible leader, you will have an analytical and strategic mind with a broad knowledge of the business operations. If you are also committed to productivity and compliance, this role is suited for you.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Manage the AU Warehouse with 25-35 FTEs including stock activities, returns, product reworks and ensure all orders are dispatched to domestic and international customers.
  • Main contact for day-to-day operations in our Australian Customer Care Center with 10-15 FTEs to offer the best service for our customers.
  • Logistics Transportation - main contact for primary distribution partners Australian Post, UPS and FedEx. Work with them on planning monthly peak and off-peak scheduling and KPI reporting.
  • Ensure that global operational activities impacting Australia are managed in an efficient and cost-effective way while considering local needs.
  • Improve systems and processes to strive for continuous improvement.
  • Renegotiate contracts with shipping, leases, freight, warehouse suppliers and other third-party suppliers like packaging.

Your Qualifications:

  • 5+ years experience working as a Warehouse or Customer Care Operations Manager in a similar environment.
  • A background in EHS or OSCH qualification is preferred.
  • Experience working with parcel carriers is a differentiator.
  • Experience leading, motivating and coaching a team is essential.
