The Role

We seek a highly organized and dependable Practice Assistant to join our rapidly growing business. This full-time position in our Sydney office will allow you to utilize your strong interpersonal and communication skills, excellent administration, and organizational abilities, playing an integral part in our growth and overall success.

You will work closely with senior administrators to provide high-quality legal support to our Partners and fee earners, ensuring the smooth running of the practice groups.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive administrative and legal support to the practice groups.
  • Manage diaries and coordinate extensive travel arrangements.
  • Prepare and organize legal documents, including correspondence, briefs, and trial materials.
  • Handle hard copy and e-filing.
  • Liaise with clients and communicate effectively.
  • Manage email communications.
  • Oversee billing and expense management.
  • Enter time records.
  • Generate reports.
  • Maintain client and matter records and databases.
  • Perform ad hoc administrative tasks, including printing, scanning, and photocopying.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • 1+ years of legal assistance experience.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to efficiently manage multiple stakeholders and priorities.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office Suite, billing, and document management system skills.
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
  • Confidence and self-motivation.
  • Problem-solving skills, adept at identifying and resolving challenges.
  • A commitment to providing a high level of administrative support to the team.
  • Collaborative skills, able to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency.
