Early Childhood Lead Educator

We are seeking a passionate educator to work with a team of educators in a play-based learning environment that fosters agency, responds to children's strengths and interests, and encourages curiosity.

About the Role

Our Early Years Centre is a community hub offering health services, family support, and holistic early childhood education with wrap-around support for families accessing our service.

Duties
  • Develop and deliver an engaging daily program, including supervising educators, setting up indoor and outdoor areas, and contributing to reflective practice sessions.
  • Collaborate with the Early Childhood Teacher or Child Development Specialists to design effective programming for individuals and groups.
  • Provide coaching, advice, and on-the-job support to team members to enhance their skills and knowledge in delivering high-quality programming.
  • Engage in community initiatives to connect with parents, carers, and the community through activities like parent information sessions and events.
Requirements
  • Hold a Diploma in Children's Services or Early Childhood Education with experience in a similar role.
  • Have a sound knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework and innovative practice.
  • Possess excellent people skills and the ability to build strong, respectful relationships with diverse individuals.
  • Demonstrate good time management and organisational skills, including flexibility.
  • Be experienced in developing a rich curriculum and staying up-to-date with pedagogy.
  • Commit to ongoing reflection and professional development to improve practice and outcomes.
