About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Dealership Accountant to join our Warwick Farm team on a full-time basis. Reporting to the Financial Controller, this role will involve overseeing day-to-day and month-end accounting across several franchises, supervising one Assistant Accountant, and providing financial insights and recommendations to support business decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the preparation and analysis of profit and loss statements for multiple franchises.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to support business decisions.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and prepare and assist with monthly Business Activity Statements.
- Maintain and submit financial reporting to manufacturers.
- Mentor and manage workflows for an Assistant Accountant.
Requirements
- A minimum of 3 years of experience as an accountant in the automotive industry.
- Experience with automotive accounting software such as Pentana is preferred.
- Advanced skills in the use of Excel are essential.
- A solid understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- A willingness to learn and continuously develop your skills.
