Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced procurement professional to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert advice and assurance on procurement and contract processes, including the development and compliance review of procurement plans and minutes, request for tender documentation, panel arrangements, evaluations, negotiations, probity matters, contracts, and stakeholder engagement.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing timely and professional advice to stakeholders on procurement-related matters.
  • Reviewing and providing constructive feedback on procurement plans, approval minutes, contracts, and evaluation reports.
  • Working collaboratively with internal teams and external entities to achieve service delivery outcomes.
  • Contributing to the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of tools, templates, and standard operating procedures.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Demonstrated experience and a strong understanding of the application of the Commonwealth Government procurement framework, including the Commonwealth Procurement Rules, connected policies, and emerging Whole of Australian Government (WoAG) requirements.
  • Proven experience in undertaking end-to-end procurement activities, including reviewing and providing advice on procurement plans, approval minutes, contracts, and evaluation reports.
  • Experience in contributing to continuous improvement initiatives, including updating intranet pages and delivering training.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple competing priorities and strategic directions.
