About the Role

Ventia is seeking a skilled Lifeguard / Gym Attendant to join our Defence Base Services contract. This full-time permanent role will see you based at HMAS Stirling / Garden Island, Rockingham WA, where you will be responsible for maintaining supervision and safety of the Pool area and ensuring the on-base Gym is clean and tidy for each day.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide safety advice, perform rescues, first aid, and resuscitation as required
  • Remove Pool covers when opening the pool and recover at closing periods
  • Conduct daily checklist to remove leaves and debris
  • Maintain a high level of cleanliness in the Gym and put away used equipment
  • Perform day one inductions for new attendees, manage sign-ins, and equipment checks throughout your shift
  • Answer general enquiries and questions as needed
Requirements
  • Driver's Licence with a reliable car
  • Pool Lifeguard Certification
  • Provide First Aid
  • Working with Children Check
