We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Labourer to join our Parks and Gardens team at Food Lovery, a leading local government agency. As a Labourer, you will play a vital role in enhancing community spaces and making a positive impact on the environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform grass cutting and mowing tasks to maintain the appearance of parks and gardens.
- Operate whipper snippers and other equipment to maintain vegetation and ensure public safety.
- Apply herbicides and pesticides to control weeds and pests, following strict safety protocols.
- Conduct tree maintenance, including pruning and removal, to ensure the health and safety of trees.
- Remove litter and waste from parks and local areas, promoting a clean and tidy environment.
- Direct and manage traffic when required, ensuring the safety of the public and our team members.
- Participate in improvement and planting projects, enhancing the aesthetic appeal of parks and gardens.
Requirements:
- Construction Card
- Minimum MR Licence - essential
- Proven experience in a similar role
- Certificate in Horticulture is highly desirable
- Chainsaw and ACDC Licence highly desirable
