Seeking a qualified classroom teacher to lead the Mathematics learning area.

About this Role

We require an experienced and enthusiastic educator to teach Mathematics in our school setting, commencing at the beginning of Term 4 2025 through to the end of the year. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional to join our teaching team and contribute to the academic and personal growth of our students.

Main Responsibilities
  • Evaluate student skills to develop a flexible and individualized curriculum in Mathematics that addresses their specific needs and goals.
  • Implement learning programs based on research into how students learn, using formative assessment techniques to adjust instruction and enhance engagement and understanding.
  • Continuously refine teaching strategies and activities using student feedback and assessment data to improve lesson plans and delivery.
  • Set high expectations to create a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom culture, fostering creativity and problem-solving.
  • Model and live the values and behaviours expected of our school community.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated experience teaching Mathematics Years 7-10.
  • Genuine enthusiasm for teaching and commitment to students' academic and personal growth.
  • Outstanding communication skills and the ability to effectively engage with students, colleagues, and parents.
  • Committed to ongoing professional development, keeping up-to-date with current trends in Mathematics literature, and maintaining a proactive attitude.
  • Holds a current VIT Registration along with specialised teaching qualifications in Mathematics or related fields.
  • Experience with the MYP (IB Middle Years Program) is preferred.
