Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Laboratory Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will provide laboratory support and assistance to ensure the efficient operation of our busy and modern laboratory conducting assays for research, preclinical, and clinical studies in an accredited environment.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure the safe and efficient conduct of laboratory activities, adhering to relevant internal processes and statutory requirements.
- Maintain high levels of communication with colleagues and productive relationships with service providers and other partners.
- Adhere to ISO/IEC 17025, OECD Principles of GLP, GCLP Principles, 360biolabs' Quality Management System, and other requirements as per NATA Accreditation and regulatory services.
- Maintain the laboratories in an efficient and well-organised manner, ordering and maintaining consumable supplies, receiving goods and reagents, and storing them correctly.
- Assist with the coordination of reagent and goods shipments, prepare solutions, buffers, and reagents for use in various assays, and assemble clinical kits.
- Review policies, SOPs, systems, and procedures to assure the quality and integrity of service offerings at 360biolabs, and maintain records to levels consistent with relevant standards and industry expectations.
- Attend meetings and training associated with the work of 360biolabs.
- Tertiary education in a scientific discipline or equivalent experience.
- Experience working in a quality-controlled environment, preferably an accredited facility following ISO/IEC 17025, GLP, or similar quality systems.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Good communication skills and willingness to learn.
- Experience in handling clinical samples and use of a Lab Information Management System (LIMS) is desirable.
- High motivation and enthusiasm for biomedical research.
