Apprentice Fabrication Technician

Are you looking to develop your skills in fabrication and metalwork? We have an exciting opportunity for a four-year Apprenticeship Program at our Northparkes operations.
As part of this program, you will receive hands-on training and guidance from experienced tradespeople and a Nationally Accredited Trade Certificate through a Registered Training Organisation. You will also receive necessary tools, TAFE accommodation, and additional support if required.
The roster is Monday to Friday, working a 9 day fortnight.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting with welding, cutting, and fabricating metal components
- Learning to repair structural elements of fixed plant equipment
- Supporting preventative maintenance and shutdown activities
- Maintaining workshop housekeeping and safety standards
- Attending TAFE and completing formal training requirements
- Committing to maintaining health, safety, and security standards
- Demonstrating behaviours aligned with Evolution values
You are a practical and detail-oriented individual with a passion for fabrication and metalwork. You have completed or are completing Year 12 and hold a current Driver's Licence. You should be eager to learn, work safely, and contribute to a team that values excellence and respect. You communicate clearly, follow instructions well, and enjoy working with your hands. Through school, hobbies, or personal projects, you've shown initiative and a strong work ethic. You must be ready to take on challenges, grow your skills, and build a rewarding career in mining.
