Storytelling Role

We're seeking a skilled storyteller to join our Communications team as a key content creator and campaign driver. In this role, you'll develop engaging stories across various media channels, drive content strategy, and play a critical part in building and executing internal and external communications campaigns.

You'll be working closely with senior leaders, including the CEO and business heads, to craft compelling narratives that resonate with diverse audiences. Your sharp focus on digital, multimedia, and social media content will enable you to create impactful and commercially savvy stories for employees, media, and social platforms.

This is an opportunity to collaborate with a high-performing, ambitious, and innovative Communications team globally and locally. You'll contribute to protecting and enhancing the bank's reputation through strategic counsel, creative content, and leadership engagement.

Responsibilities:

  • Create compelling content for media, social media, and internal channels that aligns with key themes and commercial objectives.
  • Execute global campaigns within the Australian market.
  • Support media relations activities, including identifying media targets, building relationships, training spokespeople, and creating media stories and briefs.
  • Develop internal content, campaigns, and news for employees.
  • Collaborate on events, both virtual and in-person, to support leadership communications efforts.
  • Assist with media and reputational issues.
  • Craft and execute campaigns, including press releases, media interview briefs, social media content, infographics, and multimedia elements.
  • IDentify opportunities to bring stories and data to life, ensuring alignment with priorities in Australia.

Requirements:

  • Experience in corporate communications, media relations, PR, employee communications, or content roles, preferably in the financial services industry.
  • Proven ability to produce clear, engaging written content and creatively create visual/animated/multimedia and social media content.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate with senior stakeholders.
  • A sharp focus on operating as one-team, with a can-do attitude and eagerness to learn and contribute.
