Clinical Nurse Leader

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse to join our team on the Renal Unit at Gold Coast Private Hospital. As a Clinical Nurse, you will play a key role in supporting both patients and staff to ensure high levels of patient care is provided.
About You
As a qualified RN with a minimum of 5 years' experience working on a medical renal ward, you will possess advanced clinical skills and a strong understanding of the Australian National Commission in Quality and Safety Ten National Standards.
Your Responsibilities
- Demonstrate high-level professional nursing practice as evidenced by adhering to AHPRA professional standards, code of ethics and conduct, legislative requirements and Healthscope's policies and processes.
- Support the nursing team with planning, assessment, implementation and evaluation of excellent standard of evidence-based, person-centred patient care.
- Foster learning within the unit, by demonstrating and sharing your high-level nursing skills on the job with colleagues, peers, ENs, graduates and students.
- Maintain your own professional learning and continuous professional development.
- Act as a valued member of the inter-disciplinary team to provide exceptional patient care by actively contributing to team processes and practices.
- Collaborate with external partners to ensure patients receive a high quality of care across the health care continuum.
- Maintain professional and constructive working relationships with our VMO partners, using a customer service mindset, to enable high quality patient outcomes.
Essential Criteria
- Current AHPRA registration.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience working on a medical renal ward.
- Advanced Clinical Skills – Ability to assess delirium and rapid onset of changes in cognitive function.
- Understanding of the Australian National Commission in Quality and Safety Ten National Standards.
- Demonstrate the ability to show initiative and work within a team environment.
- Excellent communication skills.
