About the Role

You will be a core member of the Extensible Operating System (EOS) team, a fast-paced, high-calibre global team building the software that runs the world's largest data centre networks. You will work closely with product management, customers, and fellow engineers to design and develop innovative networking features in C/C++ and Python for our unique, Linux-based EOS.

Your Responsibilities

  • Design and develop innovative networking features in C/C++ and Python for our unique, Linux-based EOS.
  • Collaborate with product management, customers, and fellow engineers to define functional requirements and technical designs for new EOS capabilities.
  • Take full ownership of your work by writing functional specifications, design documents, test plans, and the automated tests needed to ensure robust, high-quality code.
  • Provide technical leadership, contribute to code reviews, and mentor junior engineers, fostering a culture of high-quality engineering.
  • Work directly with Customer Support Engineers to triage, debug, and resolve complex issues found in customer networks.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering (BSc, MS, or PhD). You should also have strong, demonstrable software development experience in C/C++ and/or Python, solid experience with software development in a UNIX/Linux environment, and a strong interest in computer networking technologies.
