Mental Health Professional

We are seeking a professional to fill the role of Psychologist, who will be responsible for providing evidence-based psychological assessment and interventions for adults with eating disorders. This position will involve working in hospital and community settings within the Western Sydney Local Health District.
About the Role:- This role involves conducting triage, assessment, and developing treatment plans within outpatient eating disorder services
- Deliver individual and group psychological therapy tailored to adult consumers
- Collaborate on care planning, clinical consultations, and maintain integrated care continuity
You will be working at Cumberland Hospital, part of the Western Sydney LHD, which serves local and broader communities with primary to tertiary care. The team is committed to professional growth through CORE Values and driven by innovation, respect, empowerment, and quality care.
The successful candidate will have relevant tertiary level qualifications in psychology including current full registration with the Psychology Board of Australia and AHPRA. They will also have demonstrated skills and experience in working with people with eating disorders, as well as evidence-based skills in the provision of assessment, formulation and group and individual treatment and delivering interventions for people with eating disorders.
Key Requirements:- Successful completion of a PBA recognised undergraduate degree in Psychology including completion of Internship
- Demonstrated skills in effective interpersonal communication, advocacy and negotiation
- Able to work as an effective team member within a multi-disciplinary team
- Able to work autonomously, to manage time well and prioritise workload
The team serves local and broader communities with primary to tertiary care and is part of a major new Integrated Mental Health Complex at Westmead.
