Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Construction Costing Expert to join our team at Burbank. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing accurate and timely BOQs and purchase orders, ensuring that project costs are accurately calculated and target margins are achieved.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Produce BOQs for project building costs, incorporating input from all relevant stakeholders.
  • Sales prices must reflect target margins.
  • Achieve accuracy in ordered project costs consistent with budgeted costs.
  • Deliver estimates and production orders within agreed time frames.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Provide costings on design/specification changes, site works, and variation requests to enable sales agents to present solutions to clients/developers.
  • Maintain the accuracy of costings in accordance with established price files and free of errors.
  • Ensure costings are provided within agreed time frames.
Workflow and Reporting:
  • Contribute to weekly workflow planning to ensure estimates & production orders are completed as planned.
  • Identify and implement solutions to any blockages threatening on-time delivery in conjunction with the team leader.
  • Ensure all task allocations and completions are recorded on the workflow tracking system immediately they occur.
Quality Control and Compliance:
  • Develop, document, and implement quality control processes to ensure the accuracy of completed BOQs & orders.
  • Adhere to established quality control processes and report errors by sales, administration, and building teams.
  • Ensure all BOQs & orders produced comply with relevant regulatory controls and contract documentation.
Requirements:
  • At least 5 years' experience in domestic medium density construction estimating, Databuild or similar software, and BCA.
  • Proven knowledge of domestic construction methods.
  • Able to build and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Tertiary qualified in a building or engineering field.
Salary:

$120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience.
