News Journalist Role

We are seeking a highly skilled news journalist to join our team in Wollongong. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the latest news and sport coverage for the Illawarra region.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging content that sets the local news agenda and attracts and retains digital subscribers.

This role requires strong news-gathering and writing/reporting skills, with the ability to write for online and social media audiences under tight deadlines.

  • Develop and maintain a high level of knowledge of local and national issues
  • Write accurate, concise, and compelling articles for online and print platforms
  • Engage with the community through social media and other channels
