**Job Title:** Power Plant Operations Assistant**Overview:

As a key member of our operations team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of our power plant. Your duties will include operating and maintaining equipment, conducting routine inspections, and responding to emergencies.

**Key Responsibilities:*
  • Operate boilers, turbines, generators, auxiliary plant, dust & ash plant, coal plant, and high-voltage equipment.
  • Conduct routine inspections of operational and non-operational equipment to ensure plant availability and viability.
  • Perform routine testing of safety critical devices, firefighting equipment, and carry out emergency lubrication.
  • Issue and manage 'Permits to Work,' and respond to plant emergencies such as fires, spills, and accidents.
  • Engage in process fault identification and resolution, ensure equipment is service-ready, and support plant maintenance activities to uphold operational efficiency.
**Requirements:**
  • Proven experience and qualifications in operating a large coal fired power station.
  • Proven abilities in the identification and resolution of faults.
  • Knowledge of environmental aspects relating to emissions and discharge limits.
  • On-going commitment to the review and update of operating documentation.
  • Willingsness to work shift work or day work as required.
