Head of Modern History Job Description

This is a full-time and ongoing position commencing from the next academic year.

  • Support and grow embedded excellence in the teaching of History as a discipline, curriculum development and administration of History programs for Years 7 to 12, with a particular emphasis on the senior years.
  • Promote a collaborative and high-performing culture within the Department.
About You

The successful applicant will possess:

  • Excellent collaborative teaching practice.
  • Expert knowledge in compliance standards (preferably QCAAs).
  • Relevant teaching qualifications.
  • A comprehensive understanding of and expertise in teaching History.
  • Experience in the development of curriculum and assessment.
  • Leadership and collaborative skills and a commitment to maintaining a high-performing school culture.
  • A current Queensland College of Teachers registration.
