Visy Logistics Australia is seeking a highly skilled Divisional Accountant to join our team. As a critical Division of Visy Industries, we provide sustainable, digitally advanced supply chain solutions to various sectors.
The RoleAs a Divisional Accountant, you will work closely with cross-functional teams, providing critical financial insights, analysis, and reporting to facilitate informed decision-making. Your responsibilities will include managing financial operations, providing accounting, finance, systems, and process improvement, commercial, and management support in an accurate and timely manner.
Key Responsibilities- Responsible for mid-month estimate and month-end closing processes and tasks
- Preparation, maintenance, and oversight of all daily, weekly, and monthly management reporting
- Prepare and analyze financial reports, as well as annual budget and forecast activities
- Ensure VL ledgers are compliant with corporate policies and accounting standards as well as prepare and review balance sheets, including identifying risk areas and implement corrective actions
- Conduct variance analysis and recommend cost-saving initiatives
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes
- Tertiary qualification in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; or CA/CPA
- Proven experience in Management Accounting within a fast-paced environment preferably in the manufacturing, logistics, or recycling industry
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Proficiency in SAP and Consolidation & Reporting software (preferably Hyperion)
- Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment
- Detail-oriented with a passion for accuracy and problem-solving
- Very strong Microsoft Excel skills
