Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled diesel mechanic to perform diagnosis, maintenance and repairs to mobile plant and equipment.

The Role:

  • Technical expertise in diagnosing and repairing hydraulic and electrical systems.
  • Ability to interpret schematics and develop parts lists.
  • Working independently to achieve maintenance objectives.
  • Conducting pre task risk assessments and identifying hazard control measures.
  • Ensuring quality Job Hazard Analysis (JHA's) are completed for all tasks.
  • Maintaining work areas to a high standard of housekeeping.

Essential Criteria:

  • Australian Trade qualified HD/Plant Mechanic qualification.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in mobile plant and equipment diagnostics and repair.
  • Sound knowledge of CAT ET and SIS software.
  • Ability to work autonomously and efficiently.
  • High Risk Work Licence qualifications - LF, WP, CN, DG preferred.
  • Ability to pass a Pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screen.
  • Driver's Licence and reliable transport.
