About the Role

As a Health, Safety and Quality Manager with Ventia at the Northern Beaches Hospital, you will play a vital role in ensuring compliance and operational excellence relating to Health and Safety.

This is a full-time permanent position based on site at our hospital. You will partner with key stakeholders to provide advice and support for the effective implementation of quality and assurance management systems.

  • You will be responsible for preparing an annual Project Integrated Audit & Inspection Plan and maintaining it in collaboration with the Health & Safety (SHEQ) Manager.
  • Schedule and conduct internal audits and action tracking to ensure compliance with Ventia requirements, and certifications/accreditations are maintained.
  • Review contracts and identify project contractual deliverables, implementing adequate assurance programs to monitor & review compliance.
  • Conduct risk assessments, audits, and implement hazard controls.
  • Investigate incidents or injuries that occur on site, focusing on process improvement.
About You

We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in Health, Safety, and Quality. The ideal candidate should have:

  • A completed Certificate IV in WHS or similar.
  • Experience working in high-risk environments such as construction or infrastructure.
  • The ability to clearly communicate and consult to deliver strategies to ensure compliance, minimise risk and drive continuous improvement.
  • Able to build and maintain effective working relationships and a positive team culture.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office.
