About the Role
The Finance and Accounting department is responsible for the timely provision and analysis of financial information to all business units and to assist them in achieving their objectives. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for preparing, reviewing and acting on financial information to support various departments.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
- Review credit card transaction coding and journal postings
- Process payroll entries and reconcile payroll accounts
- Month end and year-end financial closing
- Preparing of monthly and quarterly reconciliations
- Distributing month end reports
- Liaising with and providing accounting support to Operational Managers
- Providing support to the Financial Controller and Accounting Manager
- Preparation of annual budgets
- Assisting with the annual audit process
- Reviewing of weekly and monthly EFTs
About You
A highly organised individual with good problem-solving abilities, you will approach everything you do with energy, drive, and a commitment to excellence.
Your Skills
You will need to bring your exceptional Accounting skills to the fore. This includes:
- Degree within Accounting discipline
- At least 1 year experience as an Assistant Accountant in a medium to large organisation (preferred)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
