Job Summary:

Sr. Leadership Position

We seek a highly experienced leader to head our Emergency Communication Services (ECS) team, delivering high-performing, resilient, and community-focused emergency response functions across Victoria.

This critical leadership role provides strategic and enterprise-level support to ensure the delivery of ECS services aligned with performance standards and protocols.

The ideal candidate will have extensive senior leadership experience in emergency management or critical communication services, with a strong understanding of emergency management legislation, frameworks, and experience delivering strategic plans, governance, risk management, and compliance in complex operational settings.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Lead and drive operational support for ECS to ensure effective delivery of emergency response functions, aligned with performance standards and protocols.
  • Provide strategic guidance to the Leadership Team, Chief Operating Officer, and ECS Senior Leadership Team, influencing key decisions on policy, emergency service communications, and organisational priorities.
  • Baild and maintain high-level relationships with emergency services agencies, government bodies, and national partners, representing us on interagency committees, task forces, and emergency forums.
  • Implement an enterprise-wide operational strategy aligned with sector-wide objectives, ensuring contemporary systems, doctrines, and policies support emergency readiness and coordination.
  • Oversee a large, multi-disciplinary workforce and ensure operational enablement through workforce planning, performance oversight, and implementation of change initiatives.
