Our Digital Innovation Leader will oversee the design and deployment of high-quality, reliable ICT/Digital systems and networks to support organisational objectives.Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Leadership: Provide overview and insights on work being delivered by a multi-disciplinary team through agile ceremonies.
  • Technical Expertise: Participate in code reviews to ensure high-quality code is produced across the engineer chapter, focusing on reusable and scalable solutions.
  • Delivery Excellence: Deliver and execute on the delivery of code that supports All of Government products and services.
Essential Qualifications
  • Leadership Experience: Proven experience in leading end-to-end product development, ensuring high-quality delivery through thorough testing and optimisation of features.
  • System Development: Expertise in leading design and iterative testing of products/systems to ensure compliance with standards, enhancing code quality and reducing operational risk.
  • Developer Coaching: Experience in coaching engineers to deliver high-performance ICT/Digital products and systems, while managing technology changes to optimise outcomes.
  • Problem-Solving: Experience in optimising system requirements for enhanced efficiency, security, and customer-oriented ICT/Digital capabilities.
Required Skills
  • Database Management: Advanced experience with SQL queries, database procedures/functions, and database development.
  • Systems Integration: Experience with systems integration, APIs (Web services, RESTful, SOAP, HTTP).
  • Version Control: Experience with version control systems, including managing repositories, branching strategies, and conducting code reviews.
  • Solution Design: Solution design, including creation of detailed design documentation and presentations to stakeholders.
  • Team Guidance: Leading a small team of product engineers, providing guidance and mentorship to junior and senior product engineers.
