Salary and Benefits

A competitive remuneration package in the range of $90,000 to $100,000 per year, plus superannuation.

Job DescriptionKey Responsibilities
  • Provide asset accounting and reporting services, including capitalisation, depreciation, disposal, useful life assessments, write-offs, and revaluations.
  • Support the production of departmental and organisational budgets and forecasts, reviewing actual performance against targets on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Maintain the fixed asset register, profit and loss, and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Finalise and report capital expenditure, journal postings, and capital reviews with management.
  • Communicate bi-weekly with stakeholders on capital incurred, work in progress, and components.
About You
  • Experience in a capital accountant or fixed asset accountant role (2-3 years preferred).
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards, asset principles, and asset recording systems.
  • Proven track record of achieving objectives, supporting management, and improving services.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, influencing skills, and experience in building strong business relationships.
  • Ability to manage multifaceted financial projects and resources within budget parameters.
  • Experience in financial management systems, preferably Microsoft Great Plains.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
