Regional Group is currently seeking an experienced Freight and Logistics Specialist to join their team in Forbes, NSW.

About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled and safety-focused individual to join our team as a Freight and Logistics Specialist. This role will involve driving a new fleet of trucks across various routes, ensuring timely delivery of goods while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive a new fleet of trucks across regional routes, adhering to strict time schedules and quality standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of trips, mileage, and cargo details.
  • Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicles are roadworthy and safe for operation.
  • Liaise with customers and internal stakeholders to resolve any issues or concerns related to freight and logistics.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and training to enhance skills and knowledge in areas such as fatigue management, OH&S, and communication.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Highest-level valid driver's license.
  • Current White Card (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Proven experience in driving heavy vehicles, preferably with a track record of incident-free driving.
  • Familiarity with Fatigue Management principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups.
  • Punctual, honest, and reliable attitude.
