
Electrical Quality Assurance Specialist

As an Electrical Quality Assurance Specialist at a major construction firm, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of electrical works on site. Your primary role will involve conducting inspections in accordance with Project Quality Control Plans and Inspection Test Plans.
Main Responsibilities- Material Verification: Verify the correct receipt, storage, preservation, calibration, handling, identification, and traceability of materials and equipment.
- Inspector Evaluation: Support and evaluate the qualification of inspection personnel and verify work procedures, including those relating to special processes.
- Inspection Oversight: Supervise and witness inspections, check reports and documentation issued by inspectors, and verify the collection of required Quality Records.
- Hazardous Area Inspections: Perform Hazardous Area (EEHA) inspections.
- Subcontractor Management: Verify the correct implementation of approved Quality Control Plans / Inspection Test Plans for subcontracted activities.
- Quality Record Collection: Plan, witness inspections, and collect relevant Quality Control Records.
- Document Certification: Verify the collection and management of documents certifying tests, controls, and inspections, ensuring records are retrievable for the final As-Built dossier.
- Quality Dossier Preparation: Prepare the Quality works dossier for final handover to the Document Controller.
- NCR Management: Verify the NCR management process is in place and effective.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with Construction, Subcontractors, and Client QA Representatives in a team environment with transparent information sharing.
- Quality Reporting: Provide input into weekly quality reports to the Project Quality Manager.
- Incident Reporting: Report discrepancies or concerns immediately to the Site Quality Manager.
- Quality Guidance: Provide quality-related guidance to all stakeholders.
- Process Audits: Conduct in-process audits to ensure adequacy and effectiveness of quality control activities to meet approved Quality, Inspection, and Test Plans.
- Training and Development: Train personnel about Quality issues and methodologies.
This role requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 10 years' experience as a QC Inspector, with experience in oilfield-related plant/facility construction.
