The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Warehouse Leading Hand for our day shift. In this role, you will be responsible for leading a team of warehouse staff and ensuring the efficient and effective operation of our distribution centre.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, including environmental and safety regulations.
  • Implement changes and actions as directed by management and supervisors.
  • Monitor and improve team performance, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Manage the day-to-day operation of the warehouse, including inventory management and supply chain logistics.
  • Liaise with freight companies to resolve issues and process claims.
  • Support the day-to-day operations of the inbound team, including rostering and breaks.
  • Ensure key performance indicators (KPIs) are met and communicated to the team.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a warehouse or logistics role.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Dynamics.
  • Understanding of earthmoving/construction equipment or related industry.
