Job Title:

Vac Truck Operator

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate hydro vacuum excavation trucks for non-destructive digging.
  • Safely expose underground utilities (water, gas, electrical, communications).
  • Interpret blueprints and assist survey teams with accurate data capture.
  • Perform daily pre-starts, routine equipment maintenance, and complete site documentation.
  • Collaborate with field crews to deliver quality and safety on every project.
  • Adhere to all safety, environmental, and site-specific protocols.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience operating NDD/vacuum excavation equipment - VTI trucks preferred.
  • Current HR driver's license.
  • White Card.
  • Strong understanding of underground infrastructure and procedures.
  • Experience with reinstatement works and general civil construction.
  • Ability to operate excavators (desired but not essential).
  • Experience with drain cleaning and jetting (desired but not essential).
  • Confined space entry and first aid/CPR certification (desired but not essential).
  • Experience supporting survey or utility locating teams is a plus.
  • Mindset prioritizing safety and ability to thrive in dynamic work environments.
