Overview

CBGU JV is involved in developing Cross River Rail, a significant infrastructure project that will transform the way people travel in Queensland.

Estimated Salary: AU$120,000 - AU$150,000 per annum

We're seeking an experienced Industrial Relations Advisor to join our team for this prestigious project. The successful candidate will play a critical role in providing expert advice on industrial relations matters and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Demonstrate strong organisational, planning, and coordination skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Attend and actively participate in site pre-start meetings, adhering to a 6:30am start time.
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of the project construction environment, including employees, sub-contractors, and clients.
  • Pursue ongoing learning and professional development within a dynamic construction environment with diverse stakeholders.
  • Apply knowledge of enterprise agreements to provide informed advice and support.
  • Conduct thorough investigations as required.
  • Influence outcomes and contribute to advisory decision-making processes.
  • Maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion when dealing with sensitive information.
  • Stay up-to-date with FWC rulings and determinations relevant to the CRR project.
  • Employ initiative, find solutions, prioritise tasks, and exercise discretion in line with business needs.
Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualification in Human Resources or Industrial Relations or equivalent experience/qualifications.
  • Strong working knowledge of the Fair Work Act and its practical application.
  • Familiarity with Right of Entry legislation and its application.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in IR/ER in Construction/Mining or heavy industry.
