The Role

This position primarily focuses on employment tax-related matters for our clients and RSM offices internationally. You'll have an impact by helping employers meet their Australian employment tax and entitlement obligations.

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Employment Tax Analyst, your tasks will include:

  • Supporting clients with Superannuation Guarantee (SG), Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT), Pay-As-You-Go-Withholding (PAYG W), Payroll Tax (PRT), Workers Compensation, and broader Wage Compliance.
  • Developing analytics models and designing bespoke technology offerings for clients.

Technical Tasks

Your technical responsibilities may include:

  • Employer Superannuation Obligations, SGC compliance reviews, and preparation of submissions to the ATO.
  • Assisting clients with broader wage compliance matters.
  • State Payroll Tax, assisting with investigations, and monthly reporting.
  • Pay As You Go Withholding obligations.
  • Advising on Australian tax obligations for employers setting up in Australia.
  • Review and preparation of FBT returns.
  • Drafting FBT advice for clients.

About You

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience working in a professional services firm in a similar discipline.
  • Passion for learning and developing innovative solutions using technology.
  • Collaborative mindset and ability to work in an innovative team environment.
  • Integrity in your work, strong attention to detail, and good communication skills.
  • Data visualisation, cleaning, and manipulation skills would be advantageous (but not essential).

Salary Information

The estimated salary for this position is between AU$120,000 and AU$150,000 per year, depending on your experience and qualifications.
