We are seeking an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join our Digital Product team at the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC). Key Responsibilities- Lead the Development and Automation of Digital Products Platforms: You will be responsible for leading the development and automation of our digital products platforms, including the deployment of cloud-based infrastructure, testing, and code deployment.
- Improve Efficiency and Support Product Strategy: You will work with our Product Engineering team to identify opportunities for the DevOps team to improve efficiency and support product strategy through the adoption of automated processes.
- Provide Technical Leadership: You will provide technical leadership for DevOps engineers working within Digital Product, designing and provisioning continuous integration and continuous deployment services for the development of digital products services.
- Establish DevOps Standards: You will establish, document, and promote DevOps standards, including infrastructure as code, continuous integration, and continuous deployment pipelines.
- Improve Reliability: You will continuously improve reliability through fault monitoring, reporting, and handling in supported platforms, collaborating with our Platform Operations team to improve reliability and efficiency of supported systems.
We are looking for a highly technical and passionate individual who is experienced in building automation frameworks using cutting-edge technologies. You should be a quick learner, a team player, and able to communicate effectively at all levels, from non-technical audiences to highly technical developers.
Requirements- Experience with AWS Services: You should have experience deploying and managing a variety of Amazon Web Services (AWS) services, including EC2, S3, Lambda, ECS, RDS, and VPCs.
- Automated CI/CD Systems: You should have experience with automated CI/CD systems using tools such as Lambda, Docker, Bamboo, and CloudFormation.
- Configuration Management Tools: You should have experience with configuration management tools such as Puppet, Chef, or Ansible.
- Scripting Language: You should have proficiency in at least one scripting language, such as Python, Ruby, Perl, or BASH.
- Team Environment: You should have demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
- Third-Party DevOps Tools: Experience using common third-party DevOps tools such as Datadog, New Relic, PagerDuty, JIRA, and Confluence.
- GitLab: Experience using GitLab.
- CDN Services: Experience supporting and managing products delivered by CDN services such as Akamai or CloudFront.
- Agile Project Management: Previous experience working with Agile project management practices.
