Job Opportunity: Intensive Care Nurse
Pulse Staffing is offering a range of Intensive Care (ICU) casual shifts across various locations. As an Intensive Care Nurse, you will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, monitoring and caring for patients with unstable conditions.
This role is extremely rewarding, allowing you to be part of patients' journey to recovery. You will work closely with the multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality care and make a significant impact on patients' lives.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
- Assist patients with their activities of daily living
- Regularly assess and monitor patients' vital signs
- Perform different types of observations and use various monitoring systems
- Use and ensure the working function of medical equipment such as ventilators, infusion pumps, feeding pumps, and monitors
- Administer medication via different routes
- Recognize patient deterioration and timely escalate care
- Communicate effectively with the multidisciplinary team, patients, and relatives
- Work as part of a team
- Keep accurate and timely patient records and follow hospital policies and procedures
Requirements:
- AHPRA Registration
- Minimum of 6 months experience in Intensive Care, Critical Care, or High Dependency Unit
- Current Police Check
- Rights to work within Australia
