Civil Project Engineer Job Opportunity

Established in the infrastructure sector, we are seeking a skilled Civil Project Engineer to join our team for a 4-month contract based in Cairns. This role offers exposure to a major pipeline project with a Tier 1 Contractor.

Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Developing and implementing project management plans
  2. Construction planning, scheduling, and progress tracking
  3. Design constructability and compliance reviews
  4. Managing subcontractors including building, structural, piping, mechanical, civil, electrical, and design contracts
  5. Cost forecasting and financial management

We are looking for an experienced engineer with at least 5 years of experience in Civil or Mechanical Construction, preferably with water infrastructure experience. A Tier 1 Contractors background is advantageous. Clear communication skills and willingness to relocate to Cairns for the duration of the contract are also essential.

The successful candidate will be involved in a complex $300 million+ Water Infrastructure project in Far North Queensland. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills and contribute to a significant infrastructure project.

Key Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Civil or Mechanical Construction
  • Demonstrated experience in water infrastructure projects
  • Tier 1 Contractors background is advantageous
  • Clear communication skills
  • Willingness to relocate to Cairns for the duration of the contract
